Erik Jakobik was born in 1975 in Nashville Tennessee from a loving family of four and younger of two sons.  Raised under southern culture, he starts his writing based from around the world he studied and grew up in.  “Color of Grace” is his first literary published work which came to him during a very complicated time in his life.  Going through a difficult break up and trying to find a good career path he remembered what his high school English teacher told him from a short story he wrote in her class.  “Your imagination is very active and the story you wrote was incredible.” 

Erik sat down with a pen and notepad and started writing from a dream he had the night before.  He came with this one from a similar spiritual journey he went through earlier in his life.  The next several months during his 70-hour work week he found time during his lunch breaks and limited free at home to create a story that meant so much to him.
